“ A must stop! Service was quick and super friendly. I has the mixed wrap, chicken shawarma and falafel, with their pickled cabbage and hot sause and Hamoudi fries. First the wrap. They bake, I think, the wrap so that it’s sealed tight, doesn’t get soggy or fall apart. It kept everything in till the last bite and gives it a light crunch. I got the hot sauce on mine which wasn’t hot, it was a little heat and no burn and perfect contrast to the yogurt sauce. I mean this had a bunch of different flavour in each bite that worked in unison together. PERFECT. Now the treat. The Hamouli fries. I love hamouli. It’s such an incredible cheese. I love the way it keeps shape. They deep fry it but they put a yogurt sauce and crisp chickpeas that is insanely delicious!! I’m looking forward to the truffle burger and the shawarma poutine! I didn’t leave hungry and I’ll be back for sure ”

If you're looking for healthy, high-quality food that doesn't compromise on flavor, this place should be at the top of your list. Their shawarma bowls are fresh, satisfying, and loaded with vibrant ingredients — perfectly seasoned meat, crisp veggies, and delicious sauces that tie it all together. We also tried one of their burgers, and it was easily one of the juiciest, most flavorful halal burgers we’ve had in the city. You can really tell they care about what they’re serving — everything is made fresh, portions are generous, and the staff are super welcoming and knowledgeable. Whether you're eating clean or just craving a solid, satisfying meal, The Bold Butchery hits the spot. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tasty halal eats with a healthy twist in Victoria! ”

“ Hands down the greatest burger joint on the Vancouver Island. The 2/3 lbs Double Cheese Bold Burger is an absolute must try. The AAA brisket patties are 100% Halal. Only nick was the fries seemed like a throw-in, really soggy and salty. I would catch a Ferry ride just to have this for brunch! ”

“ If you need casual catering this place is amazing! I’m not one to write reviews often but this place far exceeded my expectations and I wanted to spread the word. We hosted a dinner with about 40 people with both kids and adults. I ordered pick up catering and bold butchery were communicative, very helpful and patient when my numbers were adjusted and I wanted to add and take away some things. The food was not only delicious but gorgeous in presentation! Only con is we spent the whole night answering the question “where did you get this delicious food from? It looks so pretty too!” . The halloumi fries are just phenomenal and the chicken shawarma, falafel, hummus, tahini cookies etc... were all so good too. Highly highly recommend. The pics show only a small amount of the food we got, it was a very generous amount we had tons of leftovers. I wanted to show how nicely it was all plated! (Kids veggies trays we did) Another bonus I wasn’t expecting was they gave us the compostable bowls and cutlery for serving so it made clean up so easy. ”

“ I was in yesterday and ordered a shawarma wrap with hot sauce but no pickles. I have had many of these over the years and they are the best in town, The chicken roasted on a skewer smells sooo good and when all put together in the very thin wrap my mouth starts to water. Then I bit into it and I am in heaven. Truly one of my favorite lunches in Victora. Way to go you guys, great food, good prices and friendly staff. ”

“ Incredibly tasty! Worth noting I’m not an easy customer to please, but Bold definitely got my 5 stars! I ordered the chicken shawarma salad and hand cut fries - of course! The entire meal was absolute perfection. The shawarma salad, a very generous portion at that, was delicious. It had the right balance of shawarma chicken to greens, tasty roasted veggies. The creamy hummus, tahini dressing and crunchy chickpeas take the salad to a whole other level. Order this exact meal and prepare to be mind blown! So so good!!! Highly recommend this place. Very refreshing to have such wonderful flavours here in Victoria, BC. Thanks guys it was incredible. Can’t wait to try the chicken shawarma hummus with the falafel next, it sounds just as decadent! ”
